I must be the only one left who hasn't decorated yet. It's on my to-do list for Sunday.
I've gotten some of my decorations out - but it was for stock. Shame on me. I feel like such a slacker.
No matter, though. It's important to remember what is really Christmas. It's not how many decorations or lights you decorate. It's not if you are brighter than the Griswald's. It's not how many presents you buy or if your list is covered. It's remembering that Jesus Christ was born. It's remember the birth of someone who saved me. I celebrate my birth, my husband's and all of my other family member's and friends' births. Why is it so hard for us to remember to celebrate Christ's?
We all, as Christians, carry the Holy Spirit with us, and in so carry Christ's love. Showing that love is a gift and should be cherished and celebrated.
Sharing time with family and friends, remembering our blessings, being thankful for another year the Lord has given - that to me is Christmas.
