The worst and best thing to happen to me...

I do not like posting pictures of myself but this is just so gross I had to share!

Towards the end of last weekend, I noticed some discomfort in my eyelid toward the lashline. I used to be an optician so I quicly wrote it off as a stye. That was until yesterday morning when I woke up and couldn't open my eyelid. This shot was taken today by the way, it's uglier than yesterday.

I went to the eye doctor and she says, "Oh, that's not JUST a stye. That's <some M word I can't pronounce>." It's an infection inside my eyelid. It's not under my eyelid or on top of my eyelid; it's IN my eyelid. AND I have the stye, too, which makes for great fun in the pain department.

I look like I've been kicked by a mule!

The good news is that now I can still see through one eye until the antibiotics and other medicine kicks in. So there should be no distractions looking through the viewfinder. That's where this can come to my advantage.

The bad news is that I have the "Santa's on the Railcar" shoot this Sunday and I don't know what to expect with the swollen eye factor...
