This photo recently got rejected from even being posted on another site. Not for being out of focus, blurry, pornographic, crooked or any of that. The screener didn't even say it was bad composition, just that the toes were cut off. It was kicked off of another site because not all of the toes were showing...

I would love to have your opinion! Is it really that bad?

Considering the name of the photo I don't think the toes should matter. I think it is a nice shot. I have heard from a lot of people that photos like this should show the toes so "technically" they may not think it is nice but I like it for what it's worth.

Regardless of toes or lack thereof, I think the color scheme and the lighting of this photo are excellent.

I think it would have been better with the toes, but I think it is a good photo the way it is. The lighting and tones are great.

As a fellow Birminghamian, I have often found that we find something essential in a point of view -- in this case, your composition -- that foreigners do not grasp, or that they discard out of hand. Who knew toes would even matter? I never even noticed until I read your narrative.

my first feeling was "wow....cool shot". Didnt notice the missing toes, but did notice the great tonality, originality and composition. Superb shot.

@Putter: Thanks for all the great comments guys! I'm glad I'm not crazy! Despite what one person thinks, this one is still my favorite. I just hate the I couldn't share it with more people!

The object of this photo is not for anatomic lesson! Then, never mind details out of essential. Composition, colour, symbolic, that's what I like in this picture. Good shot!

@Henri Rabagny: Thanks! These comments make me feel like I'm not the only one who has an open mind to creativity. It still irritates me to some degree!

Come to find out, that site booted me for asking what gives!
